HR Executive Program, Leading HR in turbulent times
The current economic climate presents significant challenges for organisations as well as great stimulus for change.

The new HR Executive Program, Leading HR in Turbulent Times, recognises that the world has changed and, with that, the world of work and the role of HR. Register now and receive your 25% alumni discount.
For many HR leaders, this is their first experience of managing in a recession. The early '80s and early '90s were periods of significant turbulence that changed organisations, the employer/employee relationship and working habits. The present downturn is set to do the same, dismantling structures and prevailing practices in ways that, at this point, are difficult to foresee. Dr Paul Kirkbride is Deputy Dean of Mt Eliza Executive Education, and a speaker on the program. He notes that "as chaos and turbulence increase there is less opportunity for organisations to build on experience and then use it as a guide for future intervention. The past and the future are increasingly separated by discontinuity. Both the 'what' and the 'how' are increasingly unknown and the options are left open".
This program brings together thought leaders in business, economics and key aspects of HR to explore the skills needed by HR leaders to speak the language of business during turbulent times. The program focuses on practical strategies to address business issues including building compelling cases for change and communicating these with impact.
