How a trained psychologist is having an impact on leadership development at MBS

Melbourne’s first Accelerated Learning Laboratory for leadership development is being established at Melbourne Business School by Professor Bob Wood.

Professor Wood refers to his laboratory as being in a place he calls Pasteur’s Quadrant. He says, “Louis Pasteur was interested not just in what drugs work, but why they work. Better understanding why things work and not just what works, makes people more effective managers.”  Read more.

You are invited to attend a breakfast being presented by Bob and Amcor’s group general manager, Jennifer Jones on managing talent in challenging times. The breakfast seminar will discuss how the Amcor talent management program, in partnership with the Accelerated Learning Laboratory, has adapted to drive major commercial strategies in a market downturn. Redbubble.com, a company started by a group of MBS alumni following their involvement in the School's Melbourne University Entrepreneurs' Challenge (MUEC) is a finalist for a prestigious 'Webby Award'.

Redbubble is a community website for artists to share their writing and visual work, and to sell it if they wish.  Read more

New, web-based diagnostic survey, the WinningInsights© First XI Diagnostic, allows organisations to quickly and easily assess organisational performance and identify opportunities to improve it.

The tool has been developed by survey specialists in close collaboration with MBS Assoc. Prof. Graeme Cocks and comes from research undertaken by Cocks and Graham Hubbard, Professor of Strategic Management, University of Adelaide.  Read more

Hear from Erminio Putignano, Director of strategy at FutureBrand Australia at this Forum for Learning and EXchange (FLEX) event on Thursday 28 May.
