MBS hosts Management Faculty Coloured Association conference

The US-based Management Faculty Coloured Association (MFCA) held their annual conference at MBS last month. Co-founder of the organisation, Associate Professor Ian Williamson, said this was the first time the conference had been held outside America, providing an opportunity for MFCA delegates to meet with Indigenous Australian business owners. Queen's Birthday honour for EMBA alumnus

Malcolm Hyde AO (EMBA 1989) was made an Officer of the Order of Australia for service to policing and law enforcement as Commissioner of Police in South Australia, particularly through the development of improved service delivery methods, for the detection and prevention of illicit drug use and electronic crime, and through contributions to national law enforcement policies.

Latin American photography exhibition

Mexican photographer Ernesto Rios will showcase a selection of his photos from Chile, Mexico and Peru at an exhibition organised by the MBS Latin American student club. Since graduating from the PDM in 2004, Diana Nelson (formerly McKellar) has started undertaking property development whilst raising two young boys.
Ash Vesali (MBA 2006) works for General Motors as Asia Pacific Commodity Leader and will become a father for the first time in July.
Mike Game (MBA 1996) has a new position as CEO Asia for US listed recruitment services company, Hudson Highland Group. He is based in Hong Kong with his wife and four young children.
