Despite the long history of widespread ethical education, the incidence of ethical failures remains as prevalent as ever. In modern business, the magnitude of the problems consequent on ethical failures has grown with the increasing size, opaqueness and potential impact of the modern corporation.

Professor Bob Wood, Director, MBS Centre for Ethical Leadership, is pleased to invite you to the third event in the Vincent Fairfax Speaker Series, with keynote speaker Mr Danny Gilbert AM, co-founder and Managing Partner, Gilbert + Tobin. Mr Gilbert will speak on 'Leading an ethical life.'
The development of this program has been made possible through a generous grant from the Vincent Fairfax Ethics in Leadership Foundation.
The Vincent Fairfax Fellowship™ at MBS fosters the highest levels of ethical leadership, developing the skills Fellows need to shape their futures and address the critical issues within their organisations and across the community.
Danny Gilbert AM is co-founder and Managing Partner of Gilbert + Tobin, a highly successful corporate law firm established in 1988. In addition to the law, Danny is also involved with a wide range of not-for-profit organisations and has a long standing involvement in social justice issues, particularly for Australia’s indigenous people. Danny currently holds a number of directorships including Chairman of the National Museum of Australia, Chairman of the Cape York Institute and Non-Executive Director of the National Australia Bank Limited. In this oration Danny will draw on his vast experience to consider what constitutes an ethical life.
